For it’s one, two, three strikes you’re OUT! at this softball game. Your incomparable hosts Virginia and Nina West helped to wrap up a sensational, soggy PRIDE weekend Sunday at Dodge Park. Bat-N-Rouge is always a great way for me to end my PRIDE weekend. It’s a time to catch up with friends, talk about the fun we had in the days prior, and watch some of our favorite C-bus celebs and Queens play an outrageously fun game of softball. I always make a Bat-N-Rouge checklist before I head to the field to ensure I have a great time. First, make sure to bring cash with you for your entry fee and beer tickets. This guarantees no banking fees and makes enjoying the game so much easier. There are ATMs just in case you forget. A blanket is another thing I put on my checklist. The ground is fine, but a blanket helps secure you a comfortable viewing spot. If you were too busy to get your PRIDE base tan, be sure to bring sunblock! Of all the things we take away from PRIDE weekend, a nasty sunburn does not need to be one of them. Bat-N-Rouge helps to support the Kaleidoscope Youth Center, ARC Ohio, Stonewall Columbus, and the CLGSA. If you made the mistake of missing it this year, I hope to see you next year to support some great Columbus Organizations. HAPPY PRIDE!

Getting ready to roll into July, and facing the anticipation of the Supreme Court ruling to end the nation-wide ban on same-sex marriage, the people of Columbus were not shy to show their support. Be sure to tell your friends that you spotted them in this month’s issue taking pics for PRIDE! |
